Do you charge a planning fee?
At this time, LUX Travel Consulting does not charge a separate planning fee. My goal is to make professional travel planning accessible while sharing my passion for creating memorable travel experiences.
Does it cost more to book through you?
No. LUX Travel Consulting does not add a markup to the travel supplier's published rate. In most cases, the price you pay through LUX is the same rate available directly from the supplier.
There may be situations where a supplier offers different rates, promotions, packages or exclusive offers through different booking channels, so pricing can vary based on the specific trip and supplier.
How far ahead should I reach out?
The earlier the better. I can often plan trips with less notice, but more time lets me find the best options and create a more thoughtful experience.
- Domestic travel
- 2 to 4 months before your trip. For popular destinations, holidays, cruises or large groups, 4 to 6 months.
- International travel
- 4 to 8 months before your trip. For luxury travel, complex itineraries, peak seasons or bucket-list destinations, 6 to 12 months or more is even better.
- Cruises & group travel
- The earlier the better, especially with multiple travelers. 6 to 12 months is a great starting point.
Have a last-minute trip in mind? Don't count it out. Reach out and I'll see what options are available. What doesn't change is the value of having LUX handle the research, planning, booking and details for you, at no additional planning fee.
What if something goes wrong while I'm traveling?
This is why having a travel advisor in your corner matters. If an issue comes up during your trip, LUX Travel Consulting is here to help you navigate it. Depending on the situation, I can help communicate with the appropriate travel supplier, provide guidance on available options and help you understand next steps.
